Create a visual communications explainer video of the Wooreen Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project - explaining its location and purpose
EnergyAustralia has committed to building a four-hour utility-scale battery of 350 MW capacity, which is scheduled to be in operation before the end of 2026. The video needed to demonstrate how the BESS will provide an economic boost for the Gippsland region, help to secure Victoria’s energy supply, enable more renewable energy to enter the electricity network and carry on the Latrobe Valley’s proud history of powering industry and communities.
The resulting output for EnergyAustralia is a video animation that also effectively provides understanding of what a BESS is and conveys the benefits of its newly proposed battery energy storage solution to government, stakeholders and the public. EnergyAustralia were able to develop a value-add augmented reality (AR) experience using the BESS 3D model already developed for the video. The AR of the BESS is a powerful innovative tool for explaining the project opportunities and benefits to engage with stakeholders new to the renewable energy sector.
