Humelink project team had an existing interactive map that was limited in functionality, had outdated data and was no longer meeting the needs of its current and upcoming project phases.
The HumeLink project team approached Spatial Media to support them in enhancing their interactive map. The project was at a certain point of progression for information sharing and their current map had a poor user experience with valuable data that was not able to be communicated due to a lack of functionality.
Spatial Media was engaged to design and develop the map on our Community Analytics Portal to communicate to stakeholders and the wider community. The resulting interactive map allows you to toggle on and off relevant layers and click on pop ups to learn information about the sites with accompanying imagery. Relevant additional layers such as local government areas and parks is available to orientate the user. The transmission tower and corridor has relevant disclaimer information text to alert community to the current status and progress of the consultations. mThe project team can update pop ups as the project evolves and add new and more relevant information. Transgrid are really impressed with the precision, quality, and user experience outcome of the map and has engaged Spatial Media to create other project teams since.
