our solution for

NewVolt

Australian start-up NewVolt are spearheading the build of an electric truck charging network along the east coast of Australia, enabling the decarbonisation of the country’s major road freight routes and potentially saving billions of dollars spent on imported diesel a year.

The challenge

NewVolt founders reached out to Spatial Media to assist with visualising their proposed charging hubs that could be used to communicate with government, industry and potential collaborators. The hub plans were not yet clearly defined which required creative visioning in partnership to achieve the desired outcome.

Our solution

Spatial Media worked closely with NewVolt founders to understand the organisational goals, evolving Hub designs and context of what was important to incorporate into the visualisations. The collaboration was done through an in person meet and greet as well as various online Teams workshop through the iterative design process. It was important in the absence of designs to work iteratively on client feedback and understand scale, context and layout to be accurate without being too specific as the Hub sites are not yet confirmed.

The final outputs Spatial Media created were two different style charging hubs – one a freight corridor city hub and spoke site and one of an enroute - highway site. NewVolt were really pleased with the outcome and have since utilised these high quality visualisation renders to support their innovation in printed materials for industry exhibitions, printed posters, brochures, website and inclusion within industry submission documents.

Our booth very popular - the corflute poster was so incredible to point at our ideas, even at a concept level. Well done to you and the Spatial Media team!
