Spatial Media was engaged by the Brisbane Airport Corporation to deliver a first of it’s kind interactive visual communications and community engagement portal for the Brisbane Airport expansion.
Within Spatial Media’s Community Analytics™ platform the interactive portal allows a user to search any address in Brisbane in relation to these flight paths, to understand the impacts on the selected address. The tool also shows noise mapping, highlighting areas affected by aircraft noise of 70 decibels or more. The tool was used in mobile consultations and VR experience centres as the new runway was announced through completion.
