JBS&G's Consentium engaged Spatial Media to create a bespoke ‘Virtual Engagement Room’ for the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) of the Project EnergyConnect program of works. Designed to engage the public regarding the Enabling the transition of Australia's energy network to a greater mix of renewables.
Project EnergyConnect's route passes though renewable energy zones in South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria. This means future renewable projects in these areas will be able to connect to the grid and supply new energy into the network.
The Virtual Engagement Room showcases the entire EIS document, split into chapters with search functionality for easy navigation. Infographics, fact sheets, videos and images are on display, as well as the ability to submit questions or make a submission directly to the project team. The exclusive experience also included 360 before and after sliders to see any visual impact of the project as well as an interactive map of the project corridor.
Spatial Media’s Virtual Engagement Rooms allow anyone with access to a web-enabled device to visit a community event online, during times of social distancing restrictions.
