Spatial Media assisted Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) with scoping the early versions of the Airside Driving Simulator, ensuring key functionality was identified. The project was split into two workflows; the 3D environment of the airport and the functionality of the simulator software.
Work began in early 2019, gathering the technical data for the vast area of the Brisbane Airport and modelling the various airside buildings, elements, and features. Meanwhile, programming, hardware procurement and testing, and in-depth client reviews were conducted.
The simulator seldom sees a day-off and has become a reliable asset of the airside operators and their training programs as they teach new drivers. Learn more in the BNE Airport blog HERE.
